How You Can Study Lithuanian

Vilnius University Departament of Lithuanian Studies arrange lithuanian language classes for foreigners. Classes vary from 50 hours duration (summer, winter and evening classes) to 90 hours (for Free Moving students) and up to 2 semestres of in total 660 hours. There are three groups: beginners, intermediate and expert. In addition,  a cultural programme is also being offered: excurtions around Vilnius, trips to famous places in Lithuania, meeting interesting people.

Teacher Professional Development centre and The Public Service Language Centre (PSLC) in Vilnius arrange a three - level teaching system for youth and adults according to qualifying skills of state's language for persons of non-lithuanian origin seeking for lithuanian nationality.

Taxes

Income-tax tariff since 2008 01 01 is 24 percents. Social insurance tax is 3 percents.

Real-estate tax tariff is 1 percent.

Impermanent inhabitants have to pay 15 percents of income for real-estate transfer.

Private land owners have to pay an annual Land tax of 1,5 percent tariff.

Male superannuation age is 62 years and 6 months. Women superannuation age is 60 years. In Lithuania a person is parted a superannuation only for that period of time for which a person does not get a superannuation in any other country.
