Migration information centre was established by International Organization for Migration Vilnius office and is funded by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands.

The project seeks not only to warn about trafficking dangers, but also to provide people with more information about finding safer options to move away from home, including information about legal opportunities to study or work abroad as well as how and where to seek assistance in case of fraud, slave-like conditions and trafficking.

Activities of the project:

• Migration related information gathering/ analytical/ research work
• Production and dissemination of info-materials
• Creation of a specialized website
• Personal consultations in person,  via Internet and telephone
• Targeted awareness raising activities for youth, including the most vulnerable groups, youth from remote areas in the country
• Training/ information sharing for officials and media representatives
• Public lectures/ events for the general public, including events on situ in the least informed/ poorest regions of the country
